Regional Centres

To ensure equitable access to training across Kerala, the Institute of Management in Government (IMG) operates two fully functional Regional Centres in Kochi and Kozhikode, in addition to its headquarters in Thiruvananthapuram. These centres cater specifically to the training needs of the central and northern districts of the state and are designed to uphold the same standards of excellence as the main campus.

Located on a 2-acre campus adjacent to the District Collectorate in Kakkanad, the Kochi Centre serves as IMG’s hub for the central region of Kerala.

  • Equipped with air-conditioned training halls, modern computer labs, and residential accommodation, offering a serene and professional learning environment.
  • The proximity to key government offices and its strategic location makes it a preferred destination for training mid- and senior-level public servants.
  • Human resource and academic support are drawn from the core faculty pool at Thiruvananthapuram, ensuring consistency in quality and content delivery.

 

 

📍 Kozhikode Regional Centre

Situated in the heart of the city, the Kozhikode Centre lies on a sprawling 8.5-acre campus, flanked by the Kozhikode Medical College and Doordarshan Kendra.

  • This centre caters to the northern districts of Kerala, including the Malabar region.
  • The campus boasts state-of-the-art classrooms, two computer labs, and spacious hostel facilities, offering a comprehensive residential training setup.
  • Its lush, green surroundings and ample land availability position it for future expansion and enhanced service delivery.

Both Regional Centres are pivotal to IMG’s vision of decentralised, inclusive, and high-impact public service training. They continue to play a vital role in delivering “Training for All”, extending capacity-building opportunities to every corner of the state.
