Organisational Profile

The Institute of Management in Government (IMG) is an autonomous institution under the Government of Kerala dedicated to strengthening governance through professional management development and capacity building.

IMG was conceived as a premier institution to enhance managerial competence, organisational effectiveness, leadership capability, and evidence-based decision-making among personnel across the Government, Public Sector, and Private Sector organisations. Over the years, the Institute has evolved into a centre of excellence in public systems management and administrative reform.

The Institute pursues its mandate through a diverse portfolio of activities including structured training programmes, executive development initiatives, policy-oriented research, consultancy assignments, publications, seminars, workshops, and high-level lecture series delivered by eminent academicians, administrators, and industry experts from India and abroad.
