A Govt. of India sponsored Training Programme The Need for Cyber Security Awareness (GOI 51)  for officers of  various Govt. Departments was conducted  at IMG, Regional Centre, Kochi from 15 to 17 December  2025. Thirty (30) officers were attended the programme.

A Session on Introduction to Cyber Security was handled by Smt. B. Suja. Associate Professor, IMG, Kochi (Course Director). Adv. Prem Kamath, High Court of Kerala was the resource person on the topic “Cyber Law”. Sri. Bindosh Sadan, Civil Police Officer, Cyber Crime Police station, Kochi City handled the session “Need for Cyber Security Awareness”.

  “Cyber Security at our workplace”  was handled by two Resource Persons viz., Sri. Manu Francis, Founder CEO, Ewhere Learning, Executive M.Tech Student at Department of Computer Applications, CUSAT and Sri.Joel K.S., Cyber Trainer, Edwhere Learning.

Prof. (Dr.) Santhosh Kumar G., Director, Centre for Information Resource Management, Cochin University handled the topic “Navigating the Threat Landscape : AI, Identity and Resilience”.

Adv. Jayakumar C., High Court of Kerala, [Asst. Commissioner of Police (Rtd), Ernakulam Central, Kochi]handled the session on “Women Protection, Society and Cyber security”.

“Cyber Space @ Home” was handled by Dr. Jacob Varghese, Faculty, IMG, Kochi

The programme was concluded by a valedictory function at 5 pm chaired by Smt. B. Suja, Associate Professor, IMG, Kochi who was the Course Director of the programme. The programme was well received by the participants.
