Training on Quantitative Research Design

Institute of Management in Government (IMG) is inviting nominations for the Government of India sponsored six days Training Programme “Training on Quantitative Research Design”, scheduled from 12th to 17th December, 2022 at IMG Thiruvananthapuram campus. This training is intended for research scholars, college/ university teachers, and employees of research organizations having responsibility to conduct research related to the social world. The participants should have completed Masters in anyone of the discipline in social sciences, and have some experience in research projects.  

The aim of the course is to equip the participants with the skills of designing a quantitative research project and to develop a road map of methodological principles for their research journey in pursuit of knowledge claim in the field of social sciences.

The course consists of a six-day workshop, followed by an individual research design project.The course is run in the experiential learning mode, involving intensive series of individual and team activities.  This requires full-time commitment for the full six days, including some evening study.  Therefore, the participants have to be either residential or within easy commuting distance.

Heads of Departments, Institutions and Principals of Colleges are requested to nominate ONE eligible participant in the prescribed format herewith to Dr. Mini B Nair, Course Director and Associate Professor, Institute of Management in Government, Vikas Bhavan P O, Thiruvananthapuram 695033 on or before 31st October, 2022. The participants may be relieved only after getting confirmation from the Course Director.IMG will provide the participants food, and accommodation as per availability for distant participants.
