NATIONAL CENTRE FOR LAND GOVERNANCE

National Centre for Land Governance is set up at Institute of Management in Government (IMG) as a Centre of Excellence in the area of Land Governance.  It is a Government of India initiative, under the Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances (DAR&PG) and forms part of its support to States for capacity building in different areas of public administration.  The basic idea behind the Centre is to undertake training of officials of the Central as well as State Governments in the area of land governance.  In addition to the training programmes the Centre will organize lectures, talks and seminars on current issues on land related matters by persons with experience in land administration, and governance and promote public debate thereon.

The Centre will function as a forum of knowledge brokering in the area of land administration by encouraging the practitioners, academicians, NGOs and stakeholders to come together and share their knowledge and experience in ground realities and research findings through debate and discussions to the ultimate benefit of the citizens.
