Guest Faculty Directory

Panel of Guest Resource Persons

As part of implementation of the State Training Policy, Institute of Management in Government has been conducting around 1000 training courses every year, spread across the entire state of Kerala. The training courses are conducted by Departmental Coordinators under the guidance of faculty facilitators. Considering the huge volume of training conducted and the need for ensuring effective session delivery, there is need to create a panel of guest resource persons which can be used while coordinating a training.

The panel developed has three sections - a list of eminent resource persons whose association is a privilege to IMG, topic wise - zone wise list of resource persons who are currently associating with IMG and list of resource persons of other sister training institutes. This panel will be dynamic in nature which will be periodically updated to include new resource persons and new topics. In this process, generic topics in this directory will be subsequently enriched to include department specific topics.

Why Manickal ?

Manickal Grama Panchayat is the first ISO certified Panchayat in Trivandrum district, with notable features such as citizen-centric and transparent policy measures, SMS alert for beneficiaries of various projects, old age friendly Panchayat etc.

In spite of these achievements the development indicators of women are far behind the general progress of the Panchayat. The institutional document shows that there is considerable increase in the rate of violence/ atrocities against women etc. The role of women in decision making process has also been very marginal. The project preparation process also have some limitations such as improper functioning of grama sabhas, subject wise discussions, decision making etc. IMG could play a vital role in capacity building for both officials and elected representatives since IMG is a Nodal agency for training in Kerala.
